Homely Sweet Pair of Worn Wooden Animals

What a pair. Found separately, but it seems to me they've been waiting their whole lives to find each other, so I'm selling as a pair. I think the one on top may be meant to represent a Tapir; I'm not quite sure about the bottom one though! Homely and completely empathetic.

Sold as a pair. 5 1/2" x 2 3/4" and 4 7/8" l x 1 7/8" t respectively. Both with age. The presumed tapir shows a glue mend on one rear leg and leans to one side though does stand and does so especially well on the back of the other!
